At long last this need is going to be met in the shape of the Shining Stars International Residential School. It is embarking upon an ambitious project of setting up a model modern school. Its primary section Class to Class IX will open this academic session.

The school has already acquired 5 acres of land in Jharsuguda and is going to put up state of the art facilities. The school will also provide bus facility.

The school is promoted by a Registered Educational Society i.e. Shining Stars International Educational Society, comprising educationists Mr.K. George(founder), social activists, and Industrialists retired army personnel Late Capt. Balwan Singh Dhandu (founder) and Mrs. Suman SIngh (Present Principal) an eminent educationist of repute in India were the founders of the School.

 

Aims and Objects of the School

The school is an English medium co-educational school, which aims at imparting quality and holistic education for the all round development of the children through the following special features.

1. Qualified Teachers:

Only qualified teachers with a public school background having fluency in English and expertise in the respective subjects will impart education.

 

2. Home Work:

All students would do the Classwork under the supervision of the teachers in the school. After regular classes, tutorial classes will be taken to clarify doubts, questions and answers and project work. Special attention will be given to students who need  to improve their standard.

 

3. Play-way method of teaching:

Classroom teaching is generally boring to students. In order to make teaching interesting in junior classes, play-way method will be adopted.

Audio-Visual teaching aids like Computer, Projector etc will be used more extensively for enhancing children's curiosity and creativity.

 

5. Promoting Reading Habits:

Presently, children are losing interest in reading books, magazines etc. In order to arrest this trend and to encourage reading, the school will have a regular period for the library where every student will be given a book/magazine to read.
